At Westy, we understand that a perfect fit is essential for both comfort and style. That’s why our sunglasses are designed with adjustable features to ensure they adapt to your unique facial structure. Follow these simple steps to fine-tune your Westy frames for an optimal fit.

(You can do this yourself, or bring the frames into a qualified optician for assistance)

Step 1: Nose Pad Adjustment

Our titanium frames are equipped with flexible, silicone-coated nose pads that can be adjusted to prevent slipping and ensure a comfortable fit on your nose bridge.

  • Using your non-dominant hand, pinch the bridge of your glasses between the lenses. Put a microfiber cleaning cloth over the lenses to prevent smudges or scratching. Do your best not to put excessive pressure on the lenses so you don’t break them.
  • Use your dominant hand to make adjustments, moving the nose pad with your fingers.-
    • Push the nose pads apart for glasses sitting too high on your face.
    • Move the pads closer together if your glasses sit too low.
    • Adjust both nose pads evenly to maintain balance and symmetry.
  • Try on your glasses after each adjustment to ensure the nose pads sit comfortably and flush against your nose. If they look uneven or one end of the nose pad digs into your nose, take off your glasses and adjust them slightly to the side so they fit better.

Step 2: Temple Arms Adjustment

If your nose pads fit well but your glasses still slide, you may need to adjust/bend the glasses’ to achieve the perfect fit behind your ears.

  • Hold the arm of your glasses just before it starts curving down to support your frames.
  • Use your other hand to gently bend the end of the arm down if your glasses slip down or up if the arm doesn’t reach around your ear.
  • Avoid bending your glasses near the hinges since you could damage them.
  • Test the fit by placing the sunglasses on your face, and adjust each side equally to maintain a symmetrical fit. The temples should rest comfortably behind your ears without slipping or causing discomfort.

REMEMBER: When in doubt take your sunglasses to an optician for a professional fix. If your glasses still aren’t fitting perfectly and you don’t want to risk damaging them, contact an optician to make the adjustments for you. Your optician will use special tools to make sure the glasses sit evenly and comfortably on your face.
